Fall in love with them for the taste, stick around for the health benefits. That about sums up the BeBOLD experience, doesn’t it? What makes our bars different — according to so many of our fans — is that they are not only delicious, but they keep you full and give you the energy you need to thrive in all that you have going on in your busy life.

This is not an accident. There are key ingredients in BeBOLD bars that make them so satisfying — oats, chia seeds and nuts (and nut butter). Together, they bring the trifecta of fullness — protein, fiber, and fat — all packaged into one delicious bar. But it doesn’t stop there, these ingredients also contain other beneficial nutrients that can contribute to a healthy diet. Let’s take a closer look at what each of them adds to our bars.

Oats: Oats are a whole grain that contains complex carbohydrates and fiber, specifically beta glucan, which has been linked to lower cholesterol and better blood sugar control.  You’ll find 18g of whole grain in just one bar! The fiber in oats means they are a slow-digesting carbohydrate, giving you energy for hours rather than the quick spike and crash you experience with refined carbohydrates. Oats also contribute B-vitamins, manganese, folate, and a polyphenol called avenanthamides, which may reduce inflammation and provide other health benefits.

Walnuts: packed with healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, walnuts are truly a super-food. Plant-based fats contribute to heart and brain health, and can also help slow digestion, keeping your blood sugar stable and energy consistent. Walnuts also contain omega-3 fatty acids, which may reduce inflammation and contribute to overall metabolic health. The polyphenols found in walnuts are also linked to lower inflammation and other health benefits.

Brazil Nuts: Most notably known for being one of the best dietary sources of selenium, an important mineral for thyroid health and your immune system, Brazil nuts are also a good source of magnesium, copper, and zinc. They also contain unsaturated fats that, like other nuts, may lower cholesterol and improve heart health.

Almond or Peanut Butter: Both of these nut butters provide important vitamins and minerals along with some healthy fat and protein to BeBOLD bars, so whichever flavor you choose, know you’re getting some health benefits.

Chia Seeds: These tiny seeds offer big benefits, adding yet another source of omega-3’s to our bars, along with fiber and plant-based protein. Because of the high fiber content, chia seeds are known to stabilize blood sugar and slow digestion, meaning you stay full, longer. These tiny seeds expand up to 12x and unlike flax are fully digestible!  They also contain a number of antioxidants that contribute to healthier aging.

While each of these ingredients offers individual benefits, together they form a bar that is packed with as much nutrition as there is flavor — one that’s designed to give you sustained energy between meals for whatever activities life brings you!
